What Is Delta-8?
Since Delta-8 products are beginning to hit the market there are a lot of questions about the effects of Delta-8 and how it compares to CBD or THC. The properties of CBD and Delta-8 are extracted differently. CBD is an isolate and Delta-8 is a distillate. Delta-8 is a cannabinoid. Cannabis plants contain cannabinoids and those are extracted.
The most known cannabinoid is THC, but Delta-8 is becoming widely known. THC is delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol and Delta 8 is delta-8-tetrahydrocannabinol. Delta 8 and THC differ from a few atomic bonds. The cannabis plant contains about 1% of naturally occurring Delta-8. Delta-8 is extracted from the cannabis plant and from that a distillate is formed. Since Delta-8 is extracted from the hemp plant and THC is from a flowering hemp plant, Delta-8 is legal and THC is illegal.
